Who FluxStore are

FluxStore is a Bulgarian footwear and sportswear retailer, formerly trading as VanesaBG. They stock adidas, Calvin Klein, Lotto and other brands across women's, men's and kids' shoes, with bags and accessories alongside, and they run a points-based loyalty club for repeat customers.

The problem

The store ran on CloudCart, a local e-commerce platform, and had 5,000 products on it. CloudCart has no product export worth the name, so a merchant who wants to leave has to leave their catalogue behind. For a shoe retailer that catalogue is the business: every product has a size run, stock per size, a brand, a style code and several images.

What we built

A catalogue migration with no export

We scraped the live CloudCart store product by product, pulled every size, price, stock level, image and description, and converted the lot into Shopify's import format with the right variant structure for shoe sizes. The result was a clean Shopify catalogue of 5,000 products with their images and stock, without a single line of data entry on the client's side.

How each of the 5,000 products travelled: the CloudCart page is scraped into one record with its sizes and stock, the record becomes one CSV row per size, and Shopify imports the rows as a product with size variants.

Odoo and BigArena connected

Orders flow from Shopify into Odoo for accounting and into BigArena for warehouse and fulfilment, with stock coming back the other way. The team processes an order once, in Shopify, and the other two systems follow.

Redirects, brand pages and the loyalty club

Every old product and category URL redirects to its new home. Brand and category pages were rebuilt for how people shop for shoes: by brand, by sport, by size, by sale. The Flux Store Club carries over, so existing customers kept their points.

Results

  • 5,000 products migrated from a platform with no export, with images, sizes and stock intact.
  • Orders and stock synced between Shopify, Odoo and BigArena with no double entry.
  • The store traded through the switch and is fully operational on Shopify.

How it is built

Shopify with a custom theme, a scraping and transformation pipeline built for the CloudCart catalogue, Odoo for accounting, BigArena for fulfilment, and a full redirect map from the old URLs.
